Executive Engineer

My name is Arif Husain and I work as an Executive Engineer. My office and home base is at 6/64, Shastri Nagar in Amanpur, which is in the Etah district of Uttar Pradesh. Shastri Nagar is a fairly typical neighborhood. It’s where I’ve been for quite some time now. Working as an engineer in Etah means you deal with a lot of different things every day. It could be a road project, a building repair, or just checking on some local infrastructure. I keep my files and tools at the Shastri Nagar address. It’s not a big corporate headquarters, just a practical space where I can focus. I spend a lot of my time traveling around the district to see how things are going on-site. People in Amanpur know me and where to find me if they have a question about a project. I don't use a lot of technical jargon when I talk to people. I prefer to just explain things simply so everyone is on the same page. The desk is usually a bit of a mess with maps and site plans, but I know where everything is. Etah can be quite hot in the summer, which makes the field visits a bit tiring, but it’s part of the job. I’ve been doing this for a long time and I don’t see myself doing anything else. It’s a good, solid way to earn a living and help out around the district.
