Guru Store

If you're driving down Maruti Estate Road, you'll find us. Guru Store is just a local spot where we keep things moving. It’s not a huge supermarket or anything like that. Just a shop that's been around. We open up early because that's when people are out and about. The shelves aren't always perfect. Sometimes we run out of stuff and have to wait for the delivery guy to show up. He’s usually late anyway. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first name. It’s a friendly vibe. We don't do any advertising. People just know where we are. The floor creaks a little near the back. We should probably fix that but never get around to it. It’s just how the shop is. We spend a lot of time chatting with neighbors. That’s the best part of being on Maruti Estate Road. You hear all the local news. We keep the fridge stocked with cold drinks for the hot days. It gets dusty because of the road construction nearby. We wipe things down, but the dust comes back. That's life here. We aren't doing anything revolutionary. Just selling things people need. It’s a steady rhythm. Some days are slow, and we just sit and watch the cars go by. Other days we can barely keep up with the customers. We wouldn't have it any other way though. It's just a regular shop for regular folks.
