Our place is at House No. 37 A/206/4, right near the Patpari Chauraha. If you know Dayal Bagh well, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times while heading to the Sabji Mandi. It’s a lively part of town, especially in the mornings when the vegetable sellers are setting up and the whole street smells like fresh produce and earth. We’ve been operating out of this spot for years, dealing with all sorts of trading goods that local folks need. The shop isn't big, but we pack a lot into the shelves. It can get a bit cramped when a few people come in at once, but we manage just fine. Living and working so close to the Chauraha means there is never a dull moment. You see the same faces every day, neighbors going about their business or stopping for a quick chat. We don’t have any big signs or bright lights. Most people just know we are here because their parents or friends told them. It stays fairly cool inside even when the sun is hitting the pavement outside near the market entrance. Sometimes the rain makes the road a bit messy, but that doesn’t stop anyone around here. We just keep the doors open and wait for the next person to walk in. It’s a simple way to earn a living, being part of the Dayal Bagh community like this. We usually close up once the market traffic starts to thin out.
