Great Shoe Exports

We operate out of 62, Vishnu Colony in the Shah Ganj area. It’s more of a residential-looking spot, but we’ve converted the space to handle all our shoe work over the years. Most of what we do is getting shoes ready to go overseas to different places. That means a lot of boxes, a lot of tape, and a lot of checking sizes to make sure everything is right. The rooms are filled with the scent of new rubber and leather, which stays with you even after you go home. We have a few people who spend all day just packing and labeling. It’s a quiet enough neighborhood, though things get busy when the delivery trucks try to navigate the small roads around here. We’ve got a rhythm down now. We start the day by clearing out the previous day's mess and then we get to work on the new batches. It’s not a high-tech setup. We use basic tools and do a lot by hand because that's how we learned. The building is just a normal house that we’ve made work for the business. There’s a small yard where we load the goods into the vans. Sometimes the neighbors stop by to chat for a minute. It’s a simple way of doing things. We don't have a big corporate office with a receptionist. You just walk in and see everyone working hard. We focus on getting the shoes out on time.
