Gama Masala

Gama Masala is located on Jalesar Road in the Shyam Nagar area. If you walk down this street, you can usually smell whatever we’re working on that day before you even see the sign. We spend a lot of time sorting through different spices and making sure everything is handled right. It’s a dusty job, and by the end of the day, our clothes usually carry the scent of cumin or turmeric home with us. The shop isn't anything special to look at, just a regular space with some heavy grinding machines and plenty of bags. Jalesar Road is always full of trucks and bikes, so there’s a constant hum of engines outside our door. We’ve had to fix the front shutter a few times because it gets stuck when it rains heavily, but we’ve figured out the trick to it now. Most of our neighbors in Shyam Nagar are good people, and we often swap stories over the fence during lunch breaks. We don’t have a fancy website or a big marketing plan. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure the orders are ready when people come to pick them up. It’s hard work and the hours can be long, but it feels good to be part of the local community here. Sometimes we run out of space and have to stack bags in the hallway for a bit.
