Foot On Shoes

If you drive down the Agra-Delhi Bye-Pass Road, you’ll find us at the 5th Km Milestone. It’s a busy spot with all the trucks and buses zooming past. Foot On Shoes is where we spend our days. It’s more of a functional space than a corporate office. We make shoes, and that means there is always a bit of a mess with glue, leather scraps, and boxes. The air is thick with the smell of rubber and industrial materials. We have a small team of workers and office staff who have been with us for a long time. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just the work we do. Most days are spent on the floor, checking how the production is going or dealing with the logistics of moving shoes from here to wherever they need to go. It gets hot, especially in the afternoons, and the fans just move the warm air around. We usually share a pot of tea around four o’clock. It’s a tough business because there’s so much competition, but we just keep our heads down and do our part. We aren't trying to change the world; we just want to make sure the shoes that leave this place are solid and ready for the person who buys them. It's a lot of manual labor and coordination, but we have a good routine going after all these years.
