We are located at Plot No. 18/94 in Daresi No-3, which is part of the Belan Ganj area. This is in Taj Nagari, quite close to the old Hathi Gate. Being in Agra, we’re surrounded by a lot of history, but our day-to-day is much more about the grit of the chemical trade. Belan Ganj is a very busy wholesale market, and the roads are usually packed with rickshaws and delivery vans. Chem & Chemicals India isn't a huge corporation; we're just a dedicated group of people working out of this plot. The building itself is older, and we’ve filled it with as much stock as we can fit. It’s often a bit dark inside because of how the buildings are squeezed together, but we have plenty of lights to work by. We spend a lot of time checking labels and making sure the chemicals are stored correctly. The heat in the summer can be pretty intense, which makes the work a bit harder, but we just get on with it. We don’t go in for big advertisements or fancy websites. Most of our customers know us through word of mouth or because they’ve been coming to this market for years. It’s about being at your desk or in the warehouse when the phone rings. Near Hathi Gate, there’s always something happening, so it’s never a boring day at the office. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
