We've been over here at No. 82 Kailash Vihar for a while now. It’s a busy spot on Gailana Road. We mostly deal with shoes, getting them ready to send out to different places. The workshop gets pretty loud sometimes with all the machines running, but that's just how it goes when you're making things. There are a few of us working here every day, making sure the orders are packed up right. Starting out, we were just trying to figure out the best way to handle the leather and the stitching. It's a lot of manual work, honestly. People think it’s all automated these days, but we still do a lot by hand because that’s the way it’s always worked for us. The weather gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually take a break then. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. It’s just a practical space where we can get the footwear sorted and boxed up. If you walk down the road, you'll see our sign. It's nothing special to look at, but we get the job done. Sometimes we run behind schedule when the materials don't show up on time, but we try to keep things moving. We've seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood over the years. More shops have opened up, but we're still here doing the same thing. It’s decent work for us.
