American Kidz Play School

You can find American Kidz Play School over at 30, Lajpat Kunj, right on Bhagrati Devi Marg in the Khandari area of Agra. It’s a busy street, but once you step inside, it’s all about the little ones. The floors are covered in colorful mats so the kids don't hurt themselves when they trip, which happens a lot. We have bins full of plastic blocks and some old stuffed animals that have seen better days. The walls have some drawings taped up that the children made last week. It’s never really quiet here until nap time, and even then, someone is usually whispering. We spend a lot of time wiping sticky handprints off the doors and picking up crayons from under the tables. The parents usually stand outside the gate in the morning, having a quick chat before they head off to work. It’s a friendly spot where the neighbors know our name and we know theirs. Sometimes the delivery trucks on Bhagrati Devi Marg make a lot of noise, but the kids don't seem to mind much. We just keep the routine going, from snacks to play to stories. It is a practical place for families who need a spot for their kids during the day while they go about their business in Agra. We don't worry about being perfect, we just make sure everyone is safe and busy.
