Ampiyil Agencies is just a local operation where we keep things simple and direct. We do not have a big fancy headquarters or anything like that; we just operate under the name Ampiyil Agencies right where we are. It involves a lot of manual work and keeping track of orders that come in through the week. The shelves are usually pretty full, and there is a lot of moving boxes around to make space for new arrivals. We have got a small team here, and everyone knows their part. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook, and other times it is quiet enough to hear the fan buzzing overhead. We do not use any complicated software to run the place, just some old ledgers and a computer that has seen better days. It is the kind of environment where you wear comfortable shoes because you are on your feet most of the day. The lighting is a bit dim in the back, but we have got extra lamps for when we need to check the fine print on the labels. People in the area know us by name, and we like it that way. There is no need for big signs or loud advertisements when you just do what you say you are going to do. We close up around six most days, though sometimes we stay late if a delivery shows up at the last minute. It is just part of the job here.
