Baba Shyam Steel

Our place is N.S.- 46, located in the 6th Stage of Adityapur. It is an industrial patch of land where the sound of machinery is pretty much constant. Baba Shyam Steel is what we call ourselves. We aren't a massive company with branches everywhere; we are just here in this one spot. We handle a lot of structural steel like angles, channels, and beams. The yard is usually a bit messy with offcuts and stacks of metal waiting to be loaded. We have a small crew of workers who do the heavy lifting and loading. They are good people who have been with us for a long time. The office is just a small room with a fan and a few chairs for visitors. It gets quite hot in Adityapur during the summer, so we tend to start our days early before the sun gets too high. We don't have any polished sales pitches. If we have the steel you need, we tell you. If we don't, we tell you that too. It’s a simple way of doing things that seems to work for us. We drink a lot of water and tea to keep going throughout the day. Most of our regular customers are from the workshops nearby. They know where we are and how we work. We don’t bother with much else besides making sure the inventory is correct and the trucks are on their way to the sites. It's just a regular, hardworking day.
