Sri Ayyappa Borewells

We run Sri Ayyappa Borewells from our place at Hno. 3-76/1 in Waghapur. This business is mostly about hard work and getting dirty. We have the big drilling rigs and the trucks that we keep in the yard. Most of the time, I’m not even at the house because we are out in some field trying to find water for a farmer. The ground around Waghapur can be very tough to get through. Sometimes we drill for hours and don't find much, which is frustrating for everyone. My clothes are always covered in mud and oil by the end of the day. It’s a loud job too, with the engines running all the time. We don't have a fancy office or a secretary. If you want to talk to us, you usually have to catch me on my mobile or come to the house in the evening. I’ve lived here my whole life, so I know most of the people around. We don't do any big advertising. People just know we have the equipment and the experience. The machines are old and they need a lot of repairs, so I spend my spare time fixing parts or greasing the gears. It’s a difficult way to make a living, but water is something everyone needs. We just keep the rigs moving from one spot to the next, day after day, hoping we hit a good spot.
