I run Raju Travels from my house at 1-84/2 in Surdapur. The village is part of the Asifabad mandal and it’s where I’ve lived most of my life. I have a couple of cars that I use for trips and I park them right in the driveway. My "office" is really just a chair in the corner of the living room where I keep my phone and a notebook for bookings. It's not a big company with a lot of people. It’s mostly just me doing the driving, though I have a friend who helps out when I have too many bookings at once. The house is easy to spot because of the cars and the pile of spare tires near the shed. Asifabad can be a bit of a trek from the main cities, so I spend a lot of time on the road. I’m often up before the sun to start a long trip, and I don't get back until late. My wife handles the calls if I’m driving, and she writes everything down on a calendar hanging on the wall. The cars get a lot of wear and tear from the bumpy village roads, so I’m always cleaning them or checking the engines. It’s a lot of work to keep everything going, and some days are better than others. We don't have any big signs, just a small one on the gate so people know it's me.
