Laxmi Durga Traders

Our shop is at 5-2-42, right by Chota Talab. Having the water nearby is nice, though the breeze doesn't always reach inside. It’s a small place where we keep all our trading goods stacked up. The floor is concrete and a bit cracked in places. We’ve been here for several years now. Most of the morning is spent checking what we have left and what needs to be ordered. The street outside can get pretty cramped with carts and bikes. Sometimes we have to move things onto the sidewalk just to make room to breathe inside. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s just us, some heavy shelves, and a lot of boxes. We use a simple calculator for the bills. If the power goes out, which happens sometimes, we just open the back door to let some light in. People stop by to chat as much as they do to buy things. It’s a very local atmosphere. We know the guy who sells tea around the corner and he brings us a few cups every afternoon. There isn't much to say about the decor because there isn't any. It’s just a place of business. We try to keep things organized but when it gets busy, that usually goes out the window. The door squeaks every time someone enters, but we never got around to oiling it.
