Haven Tree

Down in Vill-Rankhola, life moves a bit slower than in the city. Haven Tree is situated here in the Deganga area, near Khorua Chandpur. It is a quiet place with a lot of green around, which is nice when you are working all day. We started this because we wanted to do something local without having to travel too far every morning. The road out here isn't the best, especially when it rains during the monsoon and everything turns to mud. We have a small crew from the village who help out with the daily tasks. We don't have a computer that works all the time, so most of our notes are kept in paper diaries. It gets very quiet in the evenings once the sun goes down and the birds stop making noise. Sometimes we have visitors from the district office, but mostly it is just us and the local farmers. We aren't trying to grow into some massive company, just want to stay steady and handle the work we have in front of us. It is peaceful here, even when the work gets a bit heavy. We usually have our lunch under the shade of the trees outside. It is a humble way to run things, but it feels right for where we are. We just take it one day at a time out here in the village.
