You can find us over at 441 Mahamayatala in Garia. Grabit Spices Private Limited is located at Angsuman Dey Tapadar’s place. Garia is a busy part of South 24 Parganas, and there is always something going on. We work with all kinds of spices here. The air inside always smells like cumin, turmeric, and chili. It makes you sneeze if you aren't used to it. We spend our days sorting through bags of raw spices and getting them ready for grinding. It’s dusty work. We do not use any big corporate talk here because we’re just a local crew. Most of us live nearby and walk or take a rickshaw to get to work. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space for what we do. We have a few machines for the packaging, but a lot of the sorting is still done by hand to make sure things look right. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, which is a bit frustrating. We just try to get the bags filled and labeled so they can be sent out to the markets. It’s a lot of physical labor and staying on your feet. We aren't a huge brand, just a small company trying to do things right in our corner of West Bengal. It is hard work but it keeps us moving.
