We’re located on the 9th floor of the PS Qube building in New Town, Kolkata. Our unit is 915/B. This area is very different from the older parts of the city because everything is new and built with glass and steel. We are an agrotrade company, so we spend most of our time dealing with the buying and selling of agricultural products. Even though we are up in a high-rise, our roots are still in the trade of grains and other farm goods. The view from our office is of the busy streets of North Parganas below. It’s a lot of screen time and talking on the phone with people from all over the country. We don’t really have the time for fancy corporate events or polished presentations. Mostly, we are just looking at price charts and making sure our logistics are moving properly. The office itself is pretty standard, with a few desks and a small area for tea. We often stay late because the markets are always moving. Dealing with agrotrade means you have to keep up with a lot of regulations and paperwork, which can be pretty tedious. We don’t have any big marketing slogans. We just show up every day and do the work that needs to be done. It’s a fast-paced environment and there’s always a bit of stress when shipments are delayed. We just keep moving forward and try to keep things simple.
