Vijay Farms

Vijay Farms is situated over at H. No 10-87 in Khanapur. Living in Warangal, you get used to the heat and the way the seasons change. We have been working this patch of land for a long time. It is not always easy, especially when the pests show up or the rain stays away too long. We wake up early to beat the sun, getting the tools ready and checking the irrigation lines. The ground can be stubborn sometimes. You have to know how to talk to it, in a way. We grow what the soil likes. Our house is right near the fields, so there is no real break between working and resting. Sometimes the kids help out after school, or we get a few people from the village to help when the harvest is ready to be picked. We do not have a big website or anything. If someone needs us, they usually just walk up to the gate. It is a simple life, mostly. We deal with the dirt and the bugs every single day. Some days we just sit under the tree and look at what we have planted, wondering if the prices will stay okay. It is a lot of waiting and watching. But that is what farming is like here in Khanapur. It is just us and the land, trying to make things grow year after year without making any fuss about it.
