Uppalaiah Milk Products

Our place is located at H. No 2-49 in Bojjannapeta, right in the Narsimhulapet area. We deal with milk and different milk products every single day. It starts very early in the morning before the sun is even up. We have to get the milk collected and processed while it’s still fresh. It is a lot of cleaning cans and making sure everything stays cold. The smell of milk is pretty much everywhere here. We make things like curd or ghee when we have extra supply. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so everyone chips in when there is a lot of work to do. The floors are usually wet from washing down the equipment. We don't have a big factory or a marketing team. We just sell what we make to the people nearby and the local shops. Sometimes the cows don't give as much milk as we expect, so we have to adjust our plans. It’s a very tied-to-the-land kind of life. We spend a lot of time checking the quality and making sure the containers are sealed up. It isn't a glamorous job by any means. Our hands are always busy with something, whether it’s moving heavy crates or testing the fat content. We just stay here in Bojjannapeta and keep the milk moving. That’s our whole day, every day, without much of a break.
