Sravanthi Xerox Centre & Lamination

The shop is located at house number 4-44 in Shayampet which is part of Geesugonda. It is a small room that we turned into Sravanthi Xerox Centre & Lamination. The main thing here is the big photocopy machine that sits in the middle of the space. It can be quite loud when it is running and it gives off a lot of heat in the small room. We do a lot of xerox work for the students and the local people who need copies of their ID cards or school papers. Lamination is another thing we do a lot of especially for people who want to keep their certificates safe from the rain or dust. I spend most of my day standing behind the counter waiting for the next person to walk in. Sometimes the machine jams and I have to spend time pulling out bits of paper which can be very frustrating when there is a line of people. The smell of the toner is something I have gotten used to over the years. We also keep some basic stationery like pens and paper for anyone who needs them. It is just a simple local shop and we don't have any fancy equipment beyond the basics. People from Shayampet know they can just walk over if they need something copied quickly. It is a steady job and it keeps me connected to everyone in the village.
