Parvathi Pindi Girni

We operate Parvathi Pindi Girni from H. No -C5 in the Jarpula area of Halyathanda, over in Gundenga. It’s a small flour mill where we grind grains for the local folks. The sound of the machinery is pretty constant during the day. We get a lot of wheat, corn, and other grains brought in by people from the village. The air inside is usually thick with a fine layer of flour dust. It gets on your clothes and in your hair, but that's just part of the job. We aren't a big industrial factory. It’s more of a neighborhood spot where people come and wait for their grain to be processed. I’ve been running the machines for years, and I know their sounds by heart. If something starts clicking, I know exactly which part needs oiling. We try to keep the prices fair for the neighbors. It's a simple life here in the Gudur area of Warangal. We don't have any big signs or fancy advertisements. People just know where we are. Sometimes it gets crowded in the mornings when everyone wants their flour for the day’s cooking. We just take them one by one. It’s a tiring job on the back, but it feels good to provide something everyone needs for their meals. When the power goes out, we just have to sit and wait, which gives us a chance to talk with whoever is waiting. It's a social place in its own way.
