Rishi Seed Processing

Out here in the Ip Expansion area of Madikonda, things are quite industrial. Our facility is where we handle all the seed processing work. It’s a large space because we need room for the machines that sort and clean everything. Warangal can get very hot, so the metal roof makes a lot of noise when it expands in the heat. We wear heavy boots because the floors are hard and there’s always something being moved. It’s not a quiet place. There is a constant drone from the equipment and the sound of seeds hitting the metal bins. We spend our days checking the quality and making sure the bags are sealed right. Trucks come in and out of the yard, kicking up red dirt. We have a small area where we keep our logs and drink our tea during breaks. The dust gets everywhere, even in our pockets, but that's just part of the job here in Madikonda. We keep some water bottles cooling in a bucket. It’s a lot of manual labor and watching the gauges. The workers here have been doing this for years, so we all know the rhythm of the machines. We don’t have a fancy lobby for visitors. If you come by, you’ll likely find us on the floor near the sorters. It’s just honest work in a dusty part of town, making sure the seeds are ready for the next planting season.
