Durgaiah Farms

Our farm and house are at H. No -2-454 in Muthojipet, which is near Narsampet in the Warangal area. It is a quiet place out in the country. We spend most of our time in the fields rather than inside the house. It is a family-run farm, so everyone has to help out with the chores. We grow a mix of things depending on what the weather is doing. It’s not like those big industrial farms you see on TV. We have some old tractors and a couple of sheds where we keep our tools and seeds. The work is hard and it starts very early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. We don't have an office or a secretary. If you want to find us, you just have to walk out back and look for someone working near the crops. Some years the rain is good and things grow well, and other years it is a struggle. We take the good with the bad. We sell our produce at the local markets in Warangal. There is always something that needs fixing, like a leaky pipe or a broken fence. We don't have a mission statement or any big goals. We just want to keep the land productive and provide for our family. It is a simple life and it keeps us busy from dawn till dusk. We just keep at it every day because that is what needs doing.
