Unique Foundry Works

Unique Foundry Works is located on Raikot Road. If you know where Kaliani Hospital is, we are very close to that, and the Science College is also right nearby. This part of town is always moving. In the foundry, it gets very hot. That is just the nature of working with molten metal and molds. We have been doing this for years at this spot. The walls are stained with smoke and the floor is covered in sand and iron scraps. It is heavy work. We make different types of castings depending on what the local shops or farmers need. Sometimes students from the Science College walk past and look in, probably wondering about the heat. Raikot Road has a lot of traffic, so there is always a layer of dust on the sign outside. We don't really have a big office or a place to sit down with air conditioning. It is just the workshop and the space where we keep the finished pieces. People come in with drawings or old parts they want us to copy. We look at it, tell them if we can do it, and get to work. It is loud and sweaty, but it is what we do. We start early before the sun gets too high because once the furnace is on, the temperature inside goes way up.
