Amit Industrial Corporation

Amit Industrial Corporation is over at No. 20 New Gangammachari Street. It’s not a very big street, but it stays busy enough with people moving things around all day. We’ve been working out of this spot for quite some time now. The building is just a regular industrial setup, nothing fancy to look at from the outside or the inside really. We mostly focus on the work that comes in and try to keep things moving. Most mornings start with a bit of cleaning and then we get right into the day's tasks. It can get a little loud when the machines are running, but that’s expected for a place like this. There’s a specific smell of metal and oil that hits you when you walk in. It’s a familiar smell if you’ve spent any time in shops like ours. Sometimes the neighbors come by to chat or just to see what’s going on. We don’t have a big front office with a receptionist; it’s usually just whoever is free who answers the door or the phone. We like it that way because it keeps things simple. The street gets a bit tight when trucks are parked for loading, so you have to be careful coming through. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a little, but No. 20 stays pretty much the same. It’s a practical place for a practical job, and we’re here most days until the sun goes down.
