We've been over at Bhaktinagar Station Plot for quite a while now. It's just a regular transport office, nothing fancy. Most days it's busy with trucks coming in and out, and the phone doesn't stop ringing. I started this place because I knew the roads well. We mostly handle goods moving around the local area. The office at number 3 is where you’ll find me or one of the guys sitting at the desk. It gets a bit dusty with all the traffic near the station, but that's just part of the job. People know us around here. We don't have a big fleet or anything, just enough to keep things moving. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially in the monsoon, but we try to keep things on schedule. It’s hard work, and my hands are usually dirty by the end of the day from checking the engines. We have some old drivers who have been with us for years. They know every shortcut and alley. We just want to get through the day and make sure the loads get where they need to go without too much trouble. If you walk past the station plot, you can't miss our sign, even though it’s pretty faded now. We do a lot of heavy lifting and moving stuff that others won't touch. It’s not a glamorous life but it pays the bills and keeps the community supplied with what they need. We usually close up late most nights.
