Abi Egg Traders

Abi Egg Traders is tucked away at Plot No. 5/190/2 in Swamy Nagar. It’s a bit of a quiet area compared to the main market, but we like it that way. We get our shipments in very early, usually while most people are still sleeping. Dealing with eggs means you have to be careful, but mistakes still happen and we end up with a few cracked ones now and then. The smell of the crates is something you just get used to after a week of working here. We spend a lot of time sorting through the sizes and making sure the trays are stacked steady. It’s a lot of manual lifting. My brother usually handles the local deliveries in the small van. The floor is concrete and stays a bit cool, which is good for the stock. We don't have any fancy cooling systems, just some big fans and the shade of the roof. People from the neighborhood often stop by to buy a dozen or two directly from us. We keep a small notebook for the regular orders and try to remember everyone's name. It’s a simple business, really. No need for complicated computer systems when a pen and paper do the trick just fine. The driveway is a bit narrow, so the big trucks have to be careful when they back in. We just keep our heads down and keep the eggs moving out to the local shops.
