Venkateshwara Poultry Farms & Feed

Venkateshwara Poultry Farms & Feed is located at Survey Numbers 185 and 186 in Mahadevunipeta. This village is tucked away in the Bijinapally Mandal. We run a poultry farm here and we also handle our own feed. It is a lot of birds to keep track of, and they need constant attention. If one gets sick, you have to move fast before it spreads. The sheds are big and they require a lot of cleaning, which is a job nobody really likes but it has to be done. We mix the feed right here because it’s easier to know exactly what is going into it. The trucks come in with supplies and leave with the eggs or birds. It can get pretty loud and dusty around here during the day. Mahadevunipeta is a small village, so most of our workers come from nearby. We’ve been at this for some time now. Dealing with the temperatures is a big deal because the chickens don't do well if it gets too hot. We have fans and stuff but it's still a struggle in the peak of summer. The paperwork is kept at the farm office, but mostly we are out in the sheds. It’s a seven-day-a-week job since the animals don't know it's Sunday. We just keep our heads down and do the work. The Bijinapally area is mostly farms like ours, so the neighbors understand the noise and the smells of a working farm.
