Amanulla Flour Mill

The sound of the grinders at Amanulla Flour Mill is something the neighbors near the fire station in Mahabubnagar are probably used to by now. We are located at 1-7-241/7/A in the Td Gutta area. It’s a small, busy spot where there’s always a fine layer of white flour dust on just about everything, including our clothes. People from all over the Po and Mandal bring their grain here to get it turned into flour. It’s a straightforward process, but it requires a lot of attention to make sure the mill is running right. We don’t have any fancy signs or a big marketing budget. Most people just know us because we’ve been here at this address for a long time. The mill can get pretty loud and hot, especially in the middle of the day, but we just keep working through it. It’s a local service for local people. You might have to wait a bit if there’s a line, but we try to get through the bags as fast as the machines allow. There’s something satisfying about seeing a person come in with a heavy sack of grain and leave with a fresh bag of flour. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We are just a flour mill in Td Gutta, doing the same job we’ve done for years. It’s honest work and it keeps the community fed.
