Shri Jitendra Haridas Lal

We are located right in the Grain Market over at Khand Bazar. This place is always moving. There are sacks of grain everywhere and the smell of the market is very strong. Shri Jitendra Haridas Lal is the name on the shop. It’s a family-run kind of place. We’ve been here for many years, seeing the market change as time goes by. We mostly deal with wholesalers and people coming in from the countryside with their goods. It's not a quiet office. You can hear people shouting prices and trucks idling outside all day long. We have a small wooden desk where we do all our accounts and record the daily sales. There aren't many fancy tools here, just some scales and ledgers. We know the other traders nearby, and we often share a meal or a drink during the quiet hours in the afternoon. Our day starts very early, before the sun is even up, because that’s when the best deals happen. We don't really do any marketing. Everyone in Khand Bazar knows where to find our shop. If you walk into the Grain Market, you’ll see us eventually. It’s a dusty place, and your clothes will probably get a bit dirty if you stay too long. But that’s just how the market works. We are happy right here, doing what we’ve always done. It’s a hard life sometimes, but it is our way of life.
