Our office is called Paras, and you can find us at 4, Patel Colony in Jamnagar. We are right behind St. Anns School, which means we hear the school bell ring several times a day and the kids making noise during their breaks. At Shakti Clearing Agency P. Ltd., the day is mostly filled with paperwork and phone calls to the port. Customs clearing is a lot of waiting around for someone else to sign a document, so we drink plenty of tea while we wait. The office is full of old metal cabinets packed with files from years ago. It’s not a very modern setup, but we know where everything is. Jamnagar is a busy place for trade, and we’ve been part of that scene for a long time now. Sometimes the rules change and we have to spend the whole morning figuring out new forms, which can be a real headache. We aren't trying to be the biggest agency in town; we just want to get the shipments through without any major problems. Most of the time, it’s just us sitting at our desks, typing away and talking to the truck drivers who come by for their papers. When the school next door lets out, we know it’s almost time for us to wrap things up for the day. It’s a steady, predictable kind of life here.
