We are up on the second floor of a building in Sathi Reddy Colony, right in the Ferozguda area of Bowenpally. The address is 7-1-3/7. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't looking for it, but we have been here long enough that most locals know the way. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of sewing machines running all day long. We have rows of tables where the cutting and stitching happens. There are piles of fabric in different colors stacked against the walls. It gets a bit cramped when we have a big order to finish, and the ceiling fans don't always do enough to keep the heat away. We usually have about ten or twelve people working here at any given time. We make all sorts of clothes, mostly basic items that people need for daily wear. There isn't much in the way of decoration in the shop, just some calendars on the wall and a small area where we keep the finished garments packed in plastic bags. We take our breaks together and someone usually goes down to the street to get tea for everyone in the afternoon. It’s a bit of a climb up those stairs every morning, but once you get started on the work, the time goes by pretty fast. We don't do much advertising; people just find out about us through word of mouth and come by to see what we are making.
