In order to check the rising prices of essential commodity in the state, the State Government has constituted a state level inter Development Committee under the Chairmanship of the Chief Secretary of the Pradesh with Director Food & Supplies as its convener. Besides other assignments the committee has been assigned the function of reviewing on regular basis the supply position and the market prices of 12 commodities viz. wheat,rice,sugar,gram dal,tur dal,groundnut oil, mustard oil, vanaspati, tea, salt, onion and potatoes.
