IT: Top Management salaries increased more than 50% amid pandemic
Tata Consultancy Services CEO and MD took home a salary package of about ₹ 20.36 crores in the pandemic year of 2020-21, according to the company's annual report. In 2019-20, Rajesh Gopinathan had acknowledged a total compensation of ₹ 13.3 crores. The company CEO Rajesh Gopinathan's salary increased 53 percent to Rs 20.4 crore in FY21 equated to the former fiscal.
Looking at some other IT business giants
Infosys' Salil Parekh took ₹ 34.67 crores in FY20 and Wipro former CEO Abidali Neemuchwala, who resigned in January 2020, was remunerated ₹ 34 crores. The yearly package of Thierry Delaporte, CEO, Wipro, was ₹ 37.9 crore and also stock compensation and other reimbursements.
