Asha Trading Company

Asha Trading Company is right on College Road in Ghazipur, specifically in Sector-4. It’s a busy part of town with students and locals always walking past our front door. We handle a variety of trading goods, so our stock changes depending on what’s in demand or what we can get a good deal on from our suppliers. The shop isn't very large, but we pack a lot into it. Boxes are stacked up toward the ceiling sometimes, and we have to move things around just to get to the back room. We open up early because the morning is when most of the deliveries arrive. Ghazipur has its own pace, and we’ve adapted to it over the years. Some days are slow and we just sit by the door watching the traffic, and other days we don't even have time to sit down for a meal. We do our own bookkeeping in a big ledger on the counter. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us and we don’t lose data if the electricity goes out. We know most of the other shopkeepers on the road, so we often trade stories or help each other out with small things. Our regulars know that we might not have every single thing on the shelf right away, but we can usually get it if they give us a day or two. It’s a local business run by local people who have lived here forever.
