Panduranga Handloom Producer Company Limited is located at 21/1308 in Nagalakatla. We are right near the police line in Jammalamadugu, which is in Cuddapah. This area has a long history with handlooms, and we are just trying to keep that tradition going in our own way. It’s a producer company, which means it’s about the people actually making the cloth. We have a lot of weavers who have been doing this since they were kids. They learned from their parents, and now they work with us. The building is old and holds a lot of heat in the summer, but it’s where the work gets done. You’ll hear the clicking of the handlooms throughout the day. It’s a much different sound than the powerlooms you hear in other towns. It’s slower and more deliberate. We spend a lot of time sourcing the right yarn and making sure the dyes are okay. It’s a struggle sometimes to compete with factory-made stuff, but we just keep at it because it’s what we know. Jammalamadugu isn't a fast-paced place, and neither is the way we make our textiles. We’re just a group of locals trying to make a living from what our hands can do. If you walk by the police line, you'll find us there, probably busy with a new batch of fabric. We don't have fancy titles or big offices. We just have our looms and the cloth we produce. It’s a simple life, but it’s ours, and we’re proud of the work.
