Sopandev Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are based in Purangaon. Yeola is our home. We got this group together at G No 125. Being a farmer in Nashik district is a lot of work. We decided to register Sopandev because we needed a better way to handle our harvests. It’s basically a group of neighbors. We talk about the soil and the weather more than anything else. Some of us have been doing this for forty years, others are younger. We share what we know. The office is just a room where we keep our records. We don’t have fancy chairs or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably find someone drinking tea and talking about the price of inputs. We try to help the smaller farms in our village get a fair shake. It’s hard to compete with the big guys when you’re just one person. So, we use this company name to buy things in bulk and maybe get a better price when we sell. It's practical stuff. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure our families can keep the land. The paperwork is a bit of a headache, honestly. But we keep at it because it’s necessary these days. We’re just regular people from Purangaon doing what we’ve always done, just a bit more organized now. We deal with the crops we've always grown and try to stay afloat while keeping the traditions of our village alive in every harvest.
