Juber Kirana

Juber Kirana is tucked into the Shah Complex on the Main Road in Naregaon. We are quite close to the Rajesh Beer Shop, which is a good landmark if you’re looking for us. Aurangabad weather can be quite dry, so there’s always a bit of dust to wipe off the counter. We mostly deal in everyday groceries. It’s just me and occasionally some help to move the heavier sacks of grain around. The Main Road is always noisy with bikes and trucks passing by, but inside the shop, it’s a bit quieter. We try to keep the staples like oil, flour, and spices always in stock because that’s what people around here need most. Sometimes we run out of something and have to tell a neighbor to come back tomorrow, which feels a bit bad, but it happens. The shelves are wooden and a bit old now, but they hold everything up just fine. There’s no big philosophy behind what we do. We just open the shop in the morning, sell what we have, and close up when the sun goes down. It’s hard work on the feet, standing on the concrete floor all day. We see the same people every week, families from the nearby houses mostly. It’s a simple life running a store in Naregaon. We don't have fancy displays, just the goods stacked up where people can see them easily. Sometimes the cats from the complex wander in, and we have to shoo them away politely.
