Anil Provision

I run this provision store in Chikalthana, right on MGM Road in Aurangabad. It is very close to the bus stand, so I see a lot of travelers passing through every single day. Some people are just looking for a bottle of water or some biscuits while they wait for their bus to arrive. The road outside is always busy and there is a lot of noise from the horns and the engines, especially in the evenings. I started this place a long time ago and the building is quite old now. I keep the basic things people need like lentils, spices, and cleaning supplies. The ceiling is a bit high and the light isn't always the best in the back corners, but I know where every single packet is kept. I usually start my day by sweeping the front step and arranging the crates of milk that get dropped off before dawn. It’s hard work standing on my feet for most of the day but I like talking to the regulars who live in the neighborhood. They come in to tell me about their families while I weigh out their sugar or tea. It’s a small life but it keeps me busy enough. I don't have any help, so if I'm not here, the shutter stays down. Most days I’m here from early morning until the last bus leaves the stand nearby and things finally quiet down.
