Vijay Kirana Stores

You can find Vijay Kirana Stores on the Main Road in Arni, right near Maulana Azad Chawk. This is a busy part of Yavatmal, so there’s always something happening outside our door. We’ve been running this grocery shop for a long time. It’s a basic place where we sell rice, pulses, oils, and other daily kitchen essentials. The shop is usually quite full of sacks and boxes, leaving just enough room for customers to stand. We don’t have fancy lighting or air conditioning, just a few fans that keep us going through the heat. People from all over the neighborhood come here for their weekly supplies. We try to keep our prices fair because we know everyone around here. It gets really busy in the mornings when everyone is out doing their shopping before the heat of the day kicks in. Sometimes we run out of things if the supply truck is late, but we tell people to check back in a day or two. We handle all the billing ourselves on a small wooden desk. There’s no computer system here, just old-fashioned ledgers and pens. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it works for us and our customers. We enjoy being in the middle of the town where we can see everyone passing by. It’s just a regular life running a kirana store, and we’re happy to be part of the community here.
