If you head over to Sawarkar Market near Datta Chowk, you will find our shop at number 2. It is a busy part of Yavatmal, and there is always someone coming or going. We deal with crop protection, so we have a lot of stuff piled up in the back for the farmers who come in from the surrounding villages. The shop is not very large, but we make use of every inch of space we have. There is usually a bit of dust because of all the traffic outside, but that is just part of being in a main market area. We spend most of our mornings unloading supplies and checking what people need for their cotton or soya crops. It is not a glamorous job. We have a few chairs for customers to sit on while we talk about the pests or the weeds they are seeing in their fields. Sometimes the market gets so loud we have to shout over the trucks, but we are used to it by now. We do not have a fancy lobby or any of that. Just a counter and shelves full of containers and bags. We have been at this spot for a bit, and we know most of the regulars by name. It is a practical way to spend the day, helping folks keep their plants healthy. The market life suits us, even if it is a bit chaotic on Mondays.
