Sujata Gruh Udyog

Sujata Gruh Udyog is located in the Anand Nagar area of Sumthana, right in Bhadrawati. We are pretty easy to find because we’re near Telwasa Road and just a short walk from Dr. Narwane Clinic. This is a small "gruh udyog," which basically means it’s a home-grown business. We started out very small, just making a few things in the kitchen, and it grew from there. Now we have a dedicated space, but it still feels very much like a home. There are always people coming and going, mostly women from the neighborhood who help with the preparation and packing. We make things the way we would for our own families, without any fancy additives or machines. It’s a lot of manual work, like peeling, cutting, and drying. The weather in Bhadrawati can be quite tough, so we have to plan our work around the seasons. On sunny days, you’ll see our stuff spread out to dry. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy storefront. Most of our customers come because they heard about us from a neighbor or saw us while going to the clinic. We just keep things simple and honest. The work is hard on the hands, but it’s good to be part of the community here in Sumthana. We just take things one day at a time, making sure each batch is as good as the last one we made.
