Soham Plastic

Soham Plastic is located within the MIDC Industrial Estate. It’s a big area with lots of factories, so it can be easy to get lost if you don't know the turns. We have a modest unit where we handle all our plastic work. It’s a noisy place most of the time because the machines are always running. We deal with molding and making various plastic parts. The floor is usually busy with people moving crates and checking the heat on the injectors. We aren't some giant corporation with a glass tower. We are right here on the factory floor, usually with grease on our clothes. Working in MIDC means we are surrounded by other people doing the same kind of hard work. We’ve been here for several years now, and the building has seen a lot of use. It’s not the prettiest place, but it’s where the work gets done. We focus on getting the orders right and making sure the parts are solid. There’s always a bit of a plastic smell in the air, which we’ve gotten used to by now. We don't have much of a front office, just a small desk where we keep the logs. Most of our day is spent watching the production line. It’s a straightforward business. We show up, run the machines, and send the products out to whoever needs them. It keeps us moving every single day.
