Modern Road Maker (Irb)

Modern Road Maker (Irb) operates out of Pandharkawda in the Yavatmal district. Our office is at Karmchari Vasahat, Plot No 2. If you have ever been to this part of Maharashtra, you know the roads take a lot of beating from the sun and the heavy trucks. We spend most of our time out on the sites, looking at asphalt and dirt. The office at Pandharkawda is where we keep the maps and the worker schedules. We are at Pin 445302, just in case someone needs to mail us something. It is a dusty job, and there is nothing glamorous about it. We have the heavy rollers and the paving machines parked nearby most of the time. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there; we just focus on the stretches of road we are assigned. It's a lot of early mornings before the sun gets too hot. Yavatmal can be a tough place to work in the summer, but the work doesn't stop. We have local guys from the village and some technicians who know the machines inside out. We don't use big corporate talk. We just talk about tons of material and meters of road finished. Being part of the Irb group means we have specific ways of doing things, but at this local level, it’s just us and the machines on the ground. We just want the roads to be flat and solid. We have been around this area for a while.
