Vidarbha Engineering Works

You can find Vidarbha Engineering Works right on Armori Road in Gadchiroli, just opposite the Shivani Petrol Pump. Being near the pump is handy because most people use it as a landmark when they are bringing in heavy machinery or parts for us to look at. We do a lot of the typical metal work and repairs that you’d expect from a shop like ours. It’s often greasy and there’s usually the smell of welding in the air, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t have a website or any big advertising signs; mostly people just hear about us from their neighbors or other shop owners in the area. We’ve got some old machines that still work perfectly and a few newer tools we’ve picked up over the years to keep things moving. The team here is small, just a few guys who know their way around an engine or a lathe. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought it would because a part is stuck or something breaks, but we always try to get it right. It’s a busy road and there’s always noise from the traffic, but we’re used to it by now. We usually open early in the morning before it gets too hot and keep going until the work for the day is finished. It’s a practical place for people who need things fixed without a lot of fuss. The floor is concrete and has some oil stains from over the years, which is pretty standard for an engineering shop. We have a small bench out front where people sometimes sit and wait if their repair is a quick one. It’s a good place to watch the trucks go by on Armori Road while we work on a project.
