Krushna Agencies

We are located at Shivaji Chowk in Darwha. It’s a lively spot because the Krishi Utpanna Bazar is just nearby. You can see tractors and bullock carts passing by all day, especially during the harvest season when the farmers are bringing their crops to the market. Krushna Agencies is a simple place. We have a small frontage where we display some of our goods, and the back is mostly used for storage. The floor is concrete and a bit cracked, but it’s sturdy. We start our day quite early, around the time the market opens, because that’s when everyone is out and about. The tea stall next door is where we get our breakfast. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who have lived in Darwha all our lives. We know which farmers are having a good year and who is struggling. It’s more of a community than just a place of business. Sometimes we sit on the steps in the evening and just watch the traffic at the chowk. It gets very dusty during the dry months, so we are always cleaning the shelves. We don't have any big corporate goals; we just want to keep the shop running and make sure we have what people are looking for when they walk in from the market. It’s straightforward work and we like the routine of it. We don't use much technology, just our eyes and some ledgers to keep track.
