Bharat Traders

We sit right here at Bharat Chowk in Athori Bazar. It’s a busy spot, mostly in the mornings when everyone is out getting their things from the market. We opened up many years ago because we saw a need for a steady place where people could find what they needed without having to travel too far out of the district. It’s just us and a couple of helpers mostly. The shop isn't huge but we try to keep the shelves full with whatever is in demand. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the traffic near the bazaar entrance, but we manage to get by. People stop by for a chat while they pick up their orders, often complaining about the heat or the state of the roads. We know most of the faces that walk through the door by now. It’s mostly about getting through the day and making sure the inventory is right so we don't run out of the basics. The weather gets quite hot here during the summer months, so we usually keep the old ceiling fans running all day long. If you’re coming from the main road, just look for the corner near the big tree. We’ve had the same sign for a while now, and maybe it needs a new coat of paint soon. Life is quiet but busy in its own way. We don't do anything fancy like the big stores in the city. Just regular trading, day in and day out. That’s how we like it here.
