About Svocan Handicrafts – Art & Craft in Yamunanagar
Our place is in Sector-17, right in the Huda area of Jagadhari. We’ve got two units, 676 and 677. It's a lot of space for all the stuff we keep inside. We deal in handicrafts, which means things are always a bit dusty and busy. Jagadhari is known for metal and wood, so we fit right in with the local trades. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s more of a working space where things get packed and moved out. We started Svocan Handicrafts a while back. It wasn't anything planned out with a big business strategy. We just liked the work and knew some good craftsmen in the region. Every day is different. One day we're looking at new designs, the next we're arguing with a transport guy about a late truck. That’s just how business is here. We aren't trying to change the world. We just want to sell good pieces that people actually like. The workshop can get loud, and there’s always something that needs fixing. We use simple tools and keep things basic. Most of our neighbors in Huda are doing similar work. We talk to them, share news, and keep going. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls. It's just bricks, mortar, and a lot of stock. People know us by name around here. We don't do much advertising. Word of mouth usually does the job for Svocan. It's a local thing, and we like it that way.
