Sunrise Plywood Industries

Out on the road toward Amadalpur, in our little corner of Village Sug, things stay pretty busy at Sunrise Plywood Industries. If you walk into the yard, the first thing you notice is the smell of fresh cut wood and the sound of the saws running. It’s not a quiet place, but we like it that way. Most of the guys here have been working with wood for years, so they know exactly how to handle the heavy sheets without thinking too much about it. We spend our mornings unloading trucks and our afternoons getting everything stacked up just right. The dust gets on your clothes and in your hair, and by the end of the day, everyone’s looking a bit rough around the edges. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything. It’s just a practical workspace where we get the job done. The road outside can get a bit clogged with traffic, especially when the big lorries are moving through, but we’ve gotten used to the noise. We usually take our breaks together near the back where it’s a little cooler. Sometimes someone brings in snacks from the village and we sit around for twenty minutes before getting back to the stacks. It’s straightforward work. We don’t make things more complicated than they need to be. We just focus on the plywood and making sure the orders go out when they should so people can get on with their building projects.
