Saraswati Handicraft

Saraswati Handicraft is over at 26/297, Veena Nagar, in the Camp area. It’s not the easiest place to find if you’re not from around here, as the lanes can get a bit confusing. We’ve been in this spot for quite a while. The building is simple and our work area is where all the action happens. We mostly work with traditional handicrafts. There’s always some project being worked on at the main table. We have a lot of raw materials like wood, fabric, and paints tucked into the corners. The smell of the materials is something we’ve all grown to like. It’s a very manual process, so our hands are rarely clean. We don't have a fancy showroom. If someone wants to see our work, they just come into the main area where we are busy. The Camp area is quite lively, and there’s always someone shouting or a truck backing up outside. We have our regulars who stop by to see what we’re currently making. We don't really do any big promotions. Word of mouth has always been enough for us. We take a lot of pride in the fact that we do everything ourselves. It’s a small operation, and that’s the way we like it. We usually close up when the sun goes down and head home to our families. It’s a good, steady life for us.
